Stellar Art Foundation Organises Exhibition to Commemorate MF Husain

Stellar International Art Foundation commemorated MF Husain’s legacy and his close working relationship with the foundation by showcasing the best of his private collection at an Exhibition at Capital Club in Dubai.

Husain epitomises the best art coming from culturally rich India in the past century and exhibition title “The Journey of the Legend” precisely narrates the maestro’s accomplishments.

The exhibition was on the lines of the one held in UK last year. It was the first time Husain’s legacy has been on display there and is the largest collection of pieces outside the artist’s estate.

In 2014 Stellar International Art Foundation put masterpieces of three artists on display infusing contemporary to modern, India to Europe and spiritual to secular. It was a region-wide exhibition of Contemporary Art from India and a part of the seventh St. Moritz Art Masters exhibition.

The event was a hit among art lovers and more than 30,000 visitors got a glimpse of some of India’s most renowned artists such as Manish Nai, Nalini Milani, Shilpa Gupta, and Dubodh Gupta.

Paresh Maity’s colourful and vibrant pieces were especially well received.

Stellar International Art Foundation also extended reach by participating in the Jaipur Literature festival. A comprehensive review of Paresh Maity’s talent, titled Paresh Maity: World of Colours, was launched as a limited edition publication.

The launch was made special by the presence of Grammy winner and internationally celebrated musician, Vishwa Mohan Bhatt. Author Sushma Bahl who wrote the book, Paresh Maity and Stellar Art founder and art collector, Anita Choudhrie together shared their ideas to make art more appealing for the people.

Stellar International Art Foundation is based on the notion that art can be used to unite people across the globe, a vision was provided by founder Anita Choudhrie. The Dubai exhibition was held on 14th March from 6 PM to 9 PM at Capital Club Building 3, 312th Rd. Gate Village but is also open for the next month to the public.
