Stellar Art Foundation Exhibits MF Husain’s Works at Capital Club in Dubai

Stellar International Art Foundation recently organised an event to celebrate art legend MF Husain’s masterpieces and his close relationship with the family. There has been no name more renowned than Husain in India’s art culture in the past century and hence the exhibition’s name “The Journey of the Legend”.

On display on 14th March at Capital Club Building, Husain’s brilliant work garnered a lot of attention and was a treat for the art lovers who attended the event.

Stellar International Art Foundation also showed its presence at the Jaipur Literature Festival earlier this year. The event was made more special by the presence of Grammy winner and internationally acclaimed musician Vishwa Mohan Bhatt who launched a limited edition publication that features a review of Paresh Maity’s excellent repertoire in the Foundation’s collection titled, Paresh Maity: World of Colours. Maity himself, Sushma Bahl the author and Anita Choudhrie shared their thoughts on promoting art as a culture.

The Dubai exhibition was reminiscent of another one held last year in the UK—which was the largest on outside his estate and the first survey exhibition that displayed the maestro’s career in the UK in nearly a decade.

In 2014, Stellar Art hosted another major event; a region-wide exhibition of Contemporary Art from India at the seventh St. Moritz Art Masters exhibition. The event registered more than 30,000 visitors who were introduced to some of India’s most prestigious artists that included Manish Nai, Nalini Milani, Shilpa Gupta, and Dubodh Gupta.

The display that included a fabulous exhibition of works from Stellar International Art Foundation’s art treasury, it was a three-artist show that linked contemporary to modern, India to Europe, and spiritual to secular. The vibrancy of Paresh Maity’s works were much appreciated, and his ability to portray different locations with a new perspective was met with awe.
